Paying the Price for IBM's Leadership Buying Worthless Companies With Capital It Doesn't Have
Not hard to tell IBM had layoffs in Japan last month.
"Not this year (2025), but in Q1 2026 there will be another round—slightly larger than the one in November. They’re already preparing the lists. Don’t trust them. They’ll look you in the eye, smile, and know full well you’ll be gone by spring." 3 hours ago by Anonymous
Last month IBM may have laid off over 10,000 workers [1, 2], not counting those who got PIP'ed out of the company.
There seems to be no end to it and the leadership faces no consequences for commercial failures.
We're trying to assess when and how many (to be laid off) in January. For some people the last day at the company is Christmas Eve. █
