Debian's Daniel Kahn Gillmor is Wrong, Signal is No "Gold Standard" (It's Also Promoted by Proponents of Back Doors)

A month ago I explained why Signal isn't safe to use. It already served to expose coordination and collusion against us (several times) and it requires carrying spying devices.
I'm not too sure why Debian or the ACLU would wish to associate with this. Like the EFF (similar crowd), they seem to value GAFAM and back doors more than real privacy and real security. They're basically compromised (or fake) activists, as Julian Assange explained in past years. █
