2025 Was a Very Bad Year for Social Control Media

With or without statCounter, it's not difficult to see or 'feel' the overall trend. Facebook rebranded itself and is trying to reinvent itself as a slop company while openly stating an urge to fill Facebook with bots (because actual people leave). Twitter, now rebranded as "X" (to match the branding of a slop venture with "AI" in its name), is dying. There are estimates that say the majority of posts or "engagements" (interactions) are already bots. "X" is vastly smaller than its owner (MElon) wants you to think it is; many numbers (metrics) are faked/gamed for FOMO's sake. Don't believe them!
The Federation and Bluesky are jammed. They're unable to grow and they actually shrink most of the time (declines in activity). This is not only measurable; they measure it themselves and broadcast those figures.
statCounter sees a gradual demise in Social Control Media access. This seems like common sense. Why bother anymore? █
