The "Alicante Mafia" - Part II - Breakout of Discontent This Winter in Europe's Second-Largest Organisation
It's Team Campinos that should feel anxiety, not the examiners
In Part I we gave a rough idea of what we'll be covering in weeks and possibly months to come. It has since then become apparent that the SUEPO-led industrial actions in Munich (it's not just about money) are spreading to The Hague (TH). Not too long ago they communicated:
Dear SUEPO members,Based on the results of the ballot held at the end of 2025, SUEPO TH received the mandate from its active members to prepare an action plan to stop the salary erosion of EPO staff. We have analysed the comments, which show a preference for a combination of Strikes and Work-To-Rule / Go-Slow.
Meanwhile, the first documents on the Salary Adjustment Procedure (SAP) planned for 2027-2032 have been circulated: the Office’s new proposal makes even more cuts to our salaries and pensions than the method currently in place. Since 2020, we have already lost ca. 1% per year compared to national Dutch inflation, and unless we act now, this will continue and potentially even worsen. The long-term impact of such erosion is devastating.
Therefore, in coordination with SUEPO Munich and SUEPO Berlin, SUEPO TH has prepared a Draft Action Plan 2026, which needs to be adopted by SUEPO TH members. We therefore invite you to an online Extraordinary General Meeting to discuss and vote on it Tuesday 27 January at 11.00 hrs [...]
Tomorrow we'll share some more details about the plans, but here's the tentative schedule, which isn't the same as Munich's but overlaps some of it:
We urge every single worker - not just union members! - to participate. It's very much possible that Campinos and the Alicante Mafia won't make it till July (eighth anniversary of the Campinos regime) or until year's end.
"I wish you all the best for everything you encounter," an insider recently told me, "and I am positive you will be successful."
So far we've caused a lot of panic and stress inside Team Campinos. We'll be covering that soon. █
