Sites With "Linux" in Their Name That Are in Effect Slopfarms and Issue Fake Articles
There's no lack of examples of sites that become slop and then, eventually, vanish.
There are also sites like these that claim to cover "Linux", such as LinuxSecurity. For the first time in a few days it published a fake 'article' from a fake author name:
And the former Linux news site, Linuxiac, is still producing slop or a mixture of slop and some human editing:
Pretty much all the latest are like this.
It doesn't look like the site will come back from the "dark side". Prompting for boilerplate text about "Linux" and then editing it is going to result in something bad.
And finally, also regarding "Linux", George Whittaker at Linux Journal has produced something that's very obviously - even from the structure alone - more slop:
Just because people find some article about "Linux" somewhere online doesn't mean a human wrote it. We try to name some of the prolific culprits. █
