IBM is Outsourcing Red Hat's Fedora to Slop to 'Save Money'

Last month: IBM Apparently Forces Red Hat Employees to Use or Put Slop Instead of Code in Red Hat's Products (or Test Code Using Slop)

I know longtime Fedora users who decided to dump Fedora because of slop. What's IBM's reaction? More slop!

Fedora is, at this stage, just some IBM thing.

Next thing they add is "LLM pull request reviews":

You can, of course, change the on block to be the same as the CI recipe if you want to have LLM review run automatically whenever a PR is created or edited - but do make sure whoever's paying the bills for the API key is OK with that, and monitor the repo to make sure nobody starts creating hundreds of PRs to try and blow your budget...

The term "LLM" is used 9 times in this blog post.

If IBM cared about quality rather than alleged "cost savings" (cutting corners), it would assign more IBM staff to Fedora, but instead the exact opposite happened, with the likes of Cotton and Miller removed from the project. IBM wants Fedora to onboard unpaid labour (slaves), or to help test RHEL (on the cheap), which IBM turns into another AIX. █
