This is just been syndicated by Microsoft, but the layoffs of Q1 may have been delayed somewhat:

This coming week GAFAM and others will tell some creative tales about how "AI" something something... and how for "efficiency" there are (or were) layoffs. Wall Streets loves this narrative, even if it's totally phony. That would mean more cuts, not because of actual automation but due to financial stress. At the very beginning of February we expect to see the latest debt figures from IBM. And despite buying a lot of companies, headcount won't increase. There are many layoffs going on, including in companies bought by IBM. █
