Microsoft Loses Grip on Indian Ocean

This past summer we revisited Maldives in relation to GNU/Linux. In Comoros and various other islands further away in the Indian Ocean (the real "IO") we see high adoption rates of GNU/Linux. Windows has fallen to 15-16% in Maldives and Google has 97% "market share" in search.

Many countries, including in older allies of the US (such as Canada and the US), look for ways to get out of Microsoft dependence urgently. █
