Firefox has a "market share" of 2% or less. Mozilla sabotaged it, this was not inevitable.
A co-founder of Mozilla, who came up with the name "Mozilla", is extremely unhappy to see what Mozilla turned into. It promotes scams, it abuses Firefox users, and it would generally do anything to 'monetise' remaining users of Firefox (not many are left!).
The news will simply say Mozilla lets some users "opt out", but that's like some surveillance company saying, "you can fill out this paperwork if you want your data shredded."
Mozilla is still a slop pusher. So if you dislike slop and want to put an end to this Ponzi scheme, then use Firefox alternatives such as LibreWolf. Don't give Mozilla's crooked 'suits' the satisfaction or the feeling of knowing that in spite of shovelwave (while removing actually useful features like RSS support) people are still willing to use Firefox. It would give them temptation to shovel more and more slop onto people (who don't know how or why to disable it) as long as they can tolerate it.
Mozilla isn't left-leaning, it's an extension of Cheeto Imperialism holding up a misleading flag. Mozilla is technically operated by Microsoft and funded by Google (GAFAM). █
