Every day we see people publicly announcing they leave IBM and their wordings (or phrases) are odd. It's clear they didn't really want to leave or "retire" early; but they don't say they got laid off, either.
One might conclude that they're being pushed out and made to sign some likely unlawful NDAs which prevent or at least curtail criticism (as such staff would already be vulnerable; they want severance pay [1, 2, 3]).
PIPs are also happening at the EPO. We saw letters. █
