The EPO's Corruption and Violation of Rules is Spreading to the United Kingdom (Software Patents)

There's some chatter this week about the highest court in the UK dealing with software patents when painted with the "AI" brush (so far we've already seen 2 articles, albeit only patent extremists are covering this, so no link). It's frustrating news as decisions are made by people who don't understand algorithms (zero experience in programming) and Bastian Best, who looks to profit from such unlawful patents, borrows the "AI" brush and tries to encourage people to do the same now that the EPO is run by corrupt officials who do cocaine and blatantly break the most fundamental laws to fake "growth".
Yesterday a letter was sent to the chief regarding salaries while reminding him of the next strike, which is only 11 days away.
The following messages was circulated to all union members:
Open letter to the President
Dear SUEPO members,
Dear Colleagues,On 30 January 2026, EPO staff took part in a warning strike action in accordance with the approved SUEPO action plans. Further actions are planned in the coming weeks and months until our legitimate demands are properly addressed and a satisfactory solution is reached.
The services of the President demonstrated a lack of constructive engagement to move beyond the Office’s initial proposal for the new salary adjustment procedure, which lies at the root of the current industrial action. This stance is particularly difficult to understand given the Office’s current financial and operational situation.
In an open letter sent on 11 February 2026, the SUEPO committees of all places of employment invite the President to an urgent meeting to be held ahead of the next planned strike day on 23 February 2026.
The purpose of the meeting would be to explore ways to resolve the current social unrest by agreeing on a fair and sustainable salary adjustment for all EPO staff and pensioners.
Read more in the open letter.
Sincerely yours,
SUEPO Central
From the open letter we get a slightly different message and tone:

OPEN LETTER
Invitation to Negotiate on the Salary Adjustment Procedure (SAP)
Dear Mr Campinos,
On 30 January 2026, EPO staff took part in a warning strike action in accordance with the approved SUEPO action plans. Further actions are planned in the coming weeks and months until our legitimate demands are properly addressed and a satisfactory solution is reached.
During the working meetings with staff representatives held on 14, 19, 20, and 28 January 2026, your services demonstrated a lack of constructive engagement to move beyond the Office’s initial proposal for the new SAP, which lies at the root of the current industrial action.
This stance is particularly difficult to understand given the Office’s current financial and operational situation. As acknowledged by the Office itself during the December meeting of the Administrative Council, and as confirmed in the latest financial report published on 6 February 2026, the EPO is generating substantial financial surpluses while production levels and staff productivity are at an all-time high. These results are the direct consequence of the sustained efforts and commitment of EPO staff.
In the light of the above, we hereby invite you to an urgent meeting to be held ahead of the next planned strike day on 23 February 2026. The purpose of this meeting would be to explore ways to resolve the current social unrest by agreeing on a fair and sustainable salary adjustment for all EPO staff and pensioners.
We firmly believe that compromises are possible and that mutually acceptable solutions can be found. At the same time, we expect a constructive approach to negotiations from the Office.
Yours sincerely,
Derek Kelly
