Don't Use the Future Tense to Discuss the Slop Bubble
Slop (a commonly understood slang/term by now, referring to what scammers call "AI") peaked last year or in 2024. It has since then been a downhill journey. We used to refer to it as "chaff" (around 2023 in particular), but "slop" is a term many people recognise by now.
It bothers us to see the implosion of this bubble discussed as something that is about to happen or yet to happen; they mostly measure stocks (share prices) in Wall Street, not metrics such as usage which, in spite of companies gaming the numbers and faking "demand", goes down over time.
Wall Street does not react to reality; it reacts to panic, which is related to expectations. █
