XBox is Virtually Dead Already, What Next Will Die at Microsoft?

'Father of the XBox' recently said Asha Sharma is "a Palliative Care Doctor Who Slides Xbox Gently Into the Night"

Xbox's Big Shift: After 32% Revenue Drop, Brand 'Sunsetted'

The above says what we've occasionally said since 2024. The brand "XBox" is being repurposed because XBox the console "lost the war", is becoming difficult to buy (many retailers quit stocking it), and is losing a lot of money for Microsoft.

Now that there are mass layoffs at Microsoft datacentres it is not premature to speculate about what dies after XBox. █
