Why Slop Will Flop - Part IV - We've Seen the End of It
Based on this month's survey, Microsoft ChaffGPT may have hit a (relative to others) all-time low and usage of chatbots declining isn't exactly news. This was reported just months ago:

The decline isn't just relative. Chatbots may only get worse over time, not better, and harms to users gain widespread recognition. Irrespective of whose.
As it stands at the moment, public opinion shifted rather fast against chatbots. People get fired - not hired - for using them (as we noted in Part I, Part II, and Part III). News sites that leverage slop are publicly shamed, not hailed as "embracing innovation". There are also copyright lawsuits and settlements, for it's recognised by some courts that plagiarism isn't "AI".
Some years ago they insisted blockchains would revolutionise everything. Now they say the same about chatbots. This too shall pass. █
