IBM Red Hat Layoffs: It's Not About "AI"
Published yesterday: It's Not "AI", IBM is Collapsing Due to Financial Difficulties, "All Small Country Offices Will Close"

Automation had existed long before computers existed. In its earliest days IBM made tabulation machines. It helped companies and governments calculate and analyse data faster.
"Automation" is not "AI", it's just a generic term which can describe jobs left for machines to do, sometimes computers.
Automation is increased every year, sometimes with advancement in robotics (not "AI"). In many ways, modern gadgets don't improve efficiency or fulfil automation promises; instead they create more distraction/s and expenditures.
Jobs are shed off due to a rotting economy at times of war (capital funneled to "defence") and automation, not "AI" (slop).
The slop bubble is merely wasted capital or money down the drain. The abundant energy waste (unlike money, energy is a real thing) ruins our planet, begetting more conflicts over scarce resources (read: wars). █
