Hard to Replace 'Human Touch'

Today we bought food for the fish and for the birds. Very soon commences a new week and RMS will be giving a pair of talks in Swiss venues - the first of which is very large. Some people compare slop (re)implementations to the GNU Project (earlier this evening), perhaps somewhat missing the point because redoing UNIX (with another licence) is not the same as the Rust cult trying to replace GPL with Microsoft GitHub (proprietary) and non-reciprocal licences or throwing plagiarism blenders at the task (it's not "AI" - just a "pump and dump" scheme riding a mere label). GNU was - and still is - an actual community with human interaction, peer review, feature requests etc. The reason many people insist on using GNU and generally reject slop inside anything is that they value quality and human touch.
Sharing is not an aberration but a desirable condition. Slop is plagiarism or unauthorised sharing. Some call it "theft". █
