IBM is being deserted by those who can afford to leave (enough savings or an offer elsewhere). What's left is akin to what's left at the EPO - those just desperate enough to stay. Clients/stakeholders don't take long to feel the difference and then abandon the supplier.
Someone has just asked about "IBM severance agreement". It said: "Does IBM severance agreement have a revocation period after signing if you are over 40 years old [...]"
"No," someone responded. "Signing is confirming your acceptance of the severance agreement and cannot be undone, regardless of age."
And then they get to also control what you can say in public. So people express gratitude for having lost their jobs.
Classy!
Another new comment has just said, "Current IBMer: With the new "push everyone down the rating scale" yearly evaluation system I heard they expect to get a lot of people to leave for free. Either because they got pushed to CORE or because they are low. No cost there!"
"I would never refer someone to work at IBM that I liked! I hope all of you have reviewed IBM on Glassdoor."
IBM keeps name-dropping junk like "Watson" (nazi) and "AI", but that doesn't distinguish IBM and does not impress the staff. Both became - at least internally - an office joke. █
