Andy and Helen in Cybershow on Divesting From the United States' Technology and Politics
It is no longer considered a taboo to say this and it's not "anti-American" because many Americans can relate to and agree with such criticism
Last year: Techrights Disconnected From the United States Two Years Ago
This week we had our cases escalated to several NGOs and the British Government. They're looking into the abuses we were subjected to by hired guns and Americans who strangle women.
Having just listened to this new episode from Andy and Helen in Cybershow, I am glad to hear them focusing on mental problems among American "tech bros" (Helen has a name for them) and politicians, as well as their uniquely-American attacks on free speech [1, 2], even here in the UK.
The UK should "stand up for itself," says Andy, alluding to the 'traditional' way most Brits grew up hooked on American culture (especially those who were born after WW2). The US "used to have democracy", Andy says, but now America has not got "anything left to sell except fear". Andy says many other relatable things, as does Helen.
The episode can be downloaded or listened to directly as an MP3. Later today we shall publish An American War on GNU/Linux, Software Freedom, and British Investigative, Science-Based Reporting - Part IV (see Part I, Part II, and Part III). █
