Fake Articles From Sites With "Linux" in Their Name/Domain Name
Slop is not gone entirely, but at least the trend is downwards.
After repeated criticism [1, 2] we've noticed that linuxteck.com, for instance, published at least one real article (by the site's operator). Is the experiment with slop over? Either way, linuxsecurity.com is at it again ("Intrusion Detection Systems vs Prevention Systems Snort Overview") and commandlinux.com - another slopfarm - is being cited by Google News today:

Google News shows at least 4 results that are slop. But we can at least hope that linuxteck.com made a decision to quit slop. We'll keep an eye on it. █
