Smug Threat by Garrett to Put My Family and I in Prison Doesn't Prove We Did Anything Wrong, It Only Proves He's Truly Desperate to Stop Further Publications That Embarrass Him
This particular tweet - one of many to the same effect since October - has since been seen (in x.com) about 4,000 times or read by ~4,000 people, so his reputation is poor in the United States (where he has lived since 2009) because of his spouse:

His own spouse!
Our Web traffic is noticeably increasing and more whistleblowers turn up at our digital doorstep with invaluable leaks, which means we do exclusives at a faster pace than I can conveniently manage on my own. Thankfully, more volunteers join me and our reporting had greatly improved this year, not just the average publication pace. We seem to have been further legitimised by recent efforts to put me in prison for the 'crime' of publishing correct information in a country ranked 20th in the world for freedom of the press [1, 2].
I am not worried because I did nothing wrong and the real reason I received over 75 KG of legal papers is desperation and fear (their fear, not mine). They don't know how to silence me and it seems that 2+ years have taught them nothing (they could very well have learned from what the EPO attempted 10+ years ago with several London-based law firms). Yes, we complied fully with an order from the Court last year (we didn't spend a million dollars on this case; we're poor and reliant on well-meaning NGOs, it's unfair that British taxpayers need to bear costs induced by overzealous Americans).
Now we write about the case, as our barrister advised us to do a year ago after he helped us sue Garrett [1, 2] for things he had done since 2012. It should be noted that our barrister, who came from Ofcom and is very senior, said he had already done hundreds of cases and ours was the most outrageous he ever dealt with. He insisted that the Claimant deserved none of the things he asked for. He was irritated that such a case was even filed against some modest couple up north in Manchester (from a very distant California).
Remember he spent decades at Ofcom. He knows this endangers the press. He also knew that a man from Microsoft, imprisoned for strangulation, joined Garrett to attack our funding (i.e. to attack our access to justice!) - Garrett later confessed the connection under sworn oath - after he repeatedly acted all evasive in front of the Judge - and in public he admitted third parties had long funded his litigation (it happened at least 3 times by last summer; who knows how many more times since).
We'll continue our long series and resume writing about the SRA when the time seems best (we're dealing with Members of Parliament these days; this week they're going after the SRA for systematically failing people; it's in the media).
There's generally no hurry, we've given ourselves until 2030 or 2031 and we're pro bono (our community has minimal operating costs). I just need to stay polite, healthy, and happy. Today I spent several hours working in the garden, chatting with our neighbours outdoors, and doing walks because if feels like the middle of summer. At one point one of the birds jumped on my lap while I was napping. The birds are like children to us. We do our activism for them, too. It comes naturally. Immoral people do not scare us.
What we have published so far about RMS, EPO, GitHub etc. is only a teaser or a small portion of what we have and must thoroughly process before publication. We sit on a large trove of suppressed information. Quickly and impulsively publishing things (also known as "dumping") would be a disservice to sources. █
