Fortune Cookie Injury
In the most stupid of ways I have injured myself while eating lunch today. I had a fortune cookie and the way I bit into it made a piece of the cookie stab the inside of my lower gums. I started bleeding and I now type this with gauze in my mouth, unable to speak, salivating like crazy, annoyed at my clumsiness.

after dinner
a cuddle after dinner and chores maybe a short nap that's the plan but my fingers find your beltline to play with and you say you know what I want for dessert

In a Fidelious Land of Pilferage
Every post I've drafted has swollen way out of scope, so here's something tiny.
I was playing one of the Dishonored's DLCs; after catching the attention of a group of adversaries, I'd set a trap and dashed 'round the corner; when I returned, any trace of them had been zapped to ash, save for a leather pouch stuck hovering a meter off the floor; it contained a plot-important¹ victory letter drafted by one of the deceased. Ironic.

Technology and Free Software

People over technology
I want to establish an online presence in these smolnet circles. I think about whether I want to do so on Gopher or Gemini, whether it's enough to simply write within the Tilde.team server, whether I ought to have my own domain and perhaps purchase a VPS or figure out how to run a local server on a spare device...

First Steps Taken?
Last week I finally stopped hemming and hawing, and did some recording with the intention of sending it out. Set up my pedals, my amp, my mic, my laptop. Wrote down my plan for the recording. Practiced it a few times. Recorded it once, and realized I messed it up, the input being set to my laptop's internal mic rather than my SM-57 and SM-58. Tried it again. Got it.

Digital Identity Bifurcation
It's 7:00pm and I'm having a blast computing in Emacs. I started by looking at the source code of Elpher, the client I'm using to read Gopher and Gemini (mainly Gemini because truth be told I still find Gopher somewhat scary and confusing).

Re: 'Your Frustration is the Product'
Today John Gruber shared Shubham Bose's The 49MB Web Page blog post, which I have mirrored here to Gemini. Bose's work is published under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

Return to Gemini
In two minutes it will be midnight. I'm writing within Emacs, perhaps the perfect interface to the Gemini cyberspace.
Today I learned how to use IRC within Emacs. Over on a separate buffer I've got a chat going. And here I am learning how to once again write in this capsule. For some time this capsule (hosted on tilde.team) was down. Not sure if it was my computer or something on the server... but things seem to be working now and I want to take advantage of that.

* Gemini (Primer) links can be opened using Gemini software. It's like the World Wide Web but a lot lighter.
