SLAPP Censorship - Part 29 Out of 200: Violent Language Won't Go Away When You Use It in Your Site, Blog, and Social Control Media

"To plunder, to slaughter, to steal, these things they misname empire; and where they make a wilderness, they call it peace" - Tacitus

In the previous part we showed examples of impersonation as brought up by our barrister after his A.D.C.C. because Garrett is not behaving well online and years ago he told a colleague in Debian: "Fuck you Joss. Fuck you vigorously with a chainsaw."

Yes, chainsaw. More about that in the future...

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

I am not perfect, but I very seldom use violent language or threaten people physically. I can hardly recall even one example of such a thing, but if someone can prove otherwise, then I stand corrected.

Being intoxicated is not an excuse, just to be clear. 'Hacker slang' is no excuse, either.

In 2024 we informed our barrister - one who actually values truth (some don't) - of examples where Garrett (hereon "M.J.G." - his initials) was using violent language that can be interpreted as menacing threats. Here is what we wrote almost 2 years ago (now that the case is over; our barrister felt strongly that we should write about it because after many years as a barrister this was the most outrageous case he has come across).

M.J.G. made references in his social media account and in his blog to what he perceived to be the need to punch some people. He did so many times in 2024 and in prior years, he even suggested

punching people whom he had harassed.

This is the personal homepage of M.J.G. (accessible still, via the Wayback Machine at Internet Archive):

In his personal blog, M.J.G. makes allusions to wanting to stab people, even his colleagues: (archived in case he deletes it from his blog)

“Debian-the-distribution makes me want to stab people, even though I've just spent a lovely weekend with Debian-the-people. Perhaps worse, I occasionally find mails I've sent that make me want to stab me.”

Debian-the-distribution makes me want to stab people, even though I've just spent a lovely weekend with Debian-the-people. Perhaps worse, I occasionally find mails I've sent that make me want to stab me.

That’s what he wrote in his own blog.

Seems like he is a risk to others, not just to himself. Allusions to violence are made casually by him, naming people he wants to physically harm (or for others to harm for him, often by inciting online mobs based on falsehoods being spread).

This blog post shows how Bruce Perens, whom M.J.G. had harassed and defamed for nearly 2 decades (Perens would testify so), was described by M.J.G. as a person worth punching:

If you feel the need to punch them, then it's generally the real Bruce Perens.

That's just one example (there are many more out there). He thinks punching people is "funny" and "OK" if you don't like them. He keeps making jokes like these.

Then his own spouse writes (this year) that he kidnaps and rapes. So he wants to silence his own spouse and us. How dare anybody suggest he is not a wonderful person and a genius? How dare one point out that he worked with an American man who was arrested for strangling women in order to deplete the legal budget for the lawsuits against him [ 1, 2]? By using Microsoft salaries and third-party funding. Very sinister people. The SLAPPs began 5 years ago, the abuse began in 2012 because I had politely and accurately criticised Red Hat (now IBM). Garrett was salaried by Red Hat at the time.

fuck all of this, Matthew Garrett is a rapist, kidnapper, and abuser

Hate begets hate
