thenextweb.com (TNW) Appears to Have Become a Slopfarm, Fake Articles About France and GNU/Linux Flood the Web
This morning my wife saw an article about GNU/Linux in France and something didn't seem right. https://thenextweb.com has long been around, but this time it looks like slop. Upon checking with some scanner it turned out that indeed - it too - sensed the text had been generated by LLMs. This apparent slop does contain a lot of anti-Linux FUD, which could be generated by Microsoft chatbots "for entertainment" purposes (the company admits those chatbots are defective). So we won't link to it, just show it:

A lesser known (with no/little pedigree domain) also spewed out some FUD/slop about it:

Suffice to say, it is really bad when real and important news comes out, very soon (prompting is fast) to be drowned out by slopfarms controlled by American companies like GAFAM. It's plagiarism done poorly.
When information becomes available it gets drowned out by noise. Yesterday I showed how our exclusive reports about Red Hat layoffs were distorted by Google within hours (it recently emerged that Google would attempt to also modify headlines of actual sites it links to).
If you're not against slop, you're part of the problem.
If you're participating in slop, you are the problem. █
