IBM has quietly admitted mass layoffs this year. It has delivered mass layoffs in IBM this month (April 2026 layoffs in Europe), with the same in Red Hat, Confluent, and HashiCorp. That the media didn't mention these or hardly mentioned these really says a lot about the state of the media.
How can we as a society function if we do not get properly informed and educated about what goes on around us? Hearsay? Whistleblowers? █
"AH failed to give one of my guys access. Like it outright failed to perform the request, wasn't on our end at all. I went to askIT, it directed me to a w3 page, that page pointed me to slack, slack was locked with a message to go to askIT. Absolute joke. One of our guys suggested to just wait a day anf try again and it magically worked. IBM doesn't care about internal support or the employees." -2 hours ago by Anonymous
At IBM "they're not just cutting low value people, they're cutting into the core of other divisions like cloud to fuel their hype department, AI. Our department got absolutely gutted and we propped up a lot of IBM cloud. IBM is and has always cut too deep in some areas to look better to investors. Their stock isn't going up because their products are good... Look how much smaller of a company they are vs 15 years ago, not a sign of health." -2 hours ago by Anonymous
"...lest you overthink too hard for a retort and bust a brain vessel, the future of IBM is in the dumpster, just like it's CEO Alvind! Losing money is the name of IBM's AI game." -2 hours ago by Anonymous
