What It Will Take for More Nations in Europe to Move Fully to GNU/Linux
The effect of France moving to GNU/Linux has been very positive. News sites have been a lot less sceptical of GNU/Linux and its viability, seeing that a very large economy is dumping Windows (statCounter sees Windows at all-time lows in France this month). Here in the UK a lot of our government is hostage of Microsoft - a topic we'll be covering in years to come. Almost the entire legal profession and legal system got outsourced to Microsoft.
It would be false to say that France is hostile towards the US, at least historically. Remember where the Statue of Liberty came from.
What we expect to happen next is, the "France model" will be copied by more nations. So Microsoft will try to sabotage the plans of France. We need to stay vigilant.
For more nations to dump Windows we need to highlight the weaknesses of it and the threats posed by the company which remotely controls it (from the moment a "modern" computer boots). █
