Rust People Sabotage Stability for the Sake of a Falsely-Promised 'Security'
Set aside severe performance issues, limited hardware support, poor handling of "edge cases", general bugs, lack of compatibility, and even crashes:

Notice how many security issues!

There are lots more they did not catch, waiting to be found as unlike GNU's Coreutils - the "real thing" that is - those "Microsoft GitHub toys" did not have 40+ years to mature.
So here we go again. It'll never end, will it?
They won't be done till "Linux won't run"....
What or who motivates this mediocrity? Companies that want to change the licence? To control the development (Microsoft GitHub)? To reduce the viability of GNU/Linux?
An attack on the GPL and many other things are suspected, though we believe that the comments say it all (we've covered this issue many times before).
It seems odd that almost all the so-called 'Linux' blogs ignore this except Phoronix and Microsoft Lunduke. Is it intentional? Is this issue wrongly presumed to be "politics" (straw man)?
What happened to the old promises of memory safety (by adding
more bloat)? They could always justify this by saying there's no
other way "because security!" while
Canonical put a spy in charge of Ubuntu. From what we can
gather (e.g. major hole in the Rust implementation for root access
via sudo), now he attacks security. Considering
his prior employment, a lack of security would be an objective.
Provided the state knows the holes before everyone else
finds out! The NSA (US) has a name for this strategy and it
imperils everybody. Many of us are totally unhappy about this. Does
Canonical listen? █
