Apparently Last Day for Nearly 1,000 Confluent Workers IBM Laid Off Last Month
Minutes ago:

"Since July 1, 1988, I’ve had the privilege of working for IBM, “Big Blue,” for nearly 38 incredible years." The latter speaks of the Confluent layoffs the media didn't cover.

Apparently some people from Confluent, impacted by the mass layoffs or RAs impacting 800+ staff (IBM's decision), will have their last day today, the last day of April. Since they were all let go in one fell swoop it is possible today is the last day for all of them.
When will the media cover this?
When will the media mention IBM's precarious situation?
IBM is just a big old ship drowning and pulling down (roping in) other companies to the bottom of the ocean.
Look what IBM did to Red Hat. There are mass layoffs there (the media didn't cover these either).
Further Microsoft-IBM ties have been noted by an associate this morning. He said Microsoft "will certainly plan further infiltration upstream, more than already" (yesterday we showed Red Hat promoting/selling Microsoft and Techrights covered the Fedora-Microsoft thing some days ago).
IBM is a dying company pretending to be strong because of its age. █
