During IBM's Annual Event/Bash IBM's Stock Fell to (Almost) Lowest Level in a Year, Insiders Explain "IBM is on the Brink of Collapse."
IBM is now as stable as the average slop company (bubble)

A company of false promises and giant white elephants:

"IBM is on the brink of collapse," someone has claimed, and it's hardly the harshest comment in this thread which discusses why IBM has been in a freefall (whereas other companies went up in Wall Street):

"Sure," said another person. "I don't wish anyone to loose their jobs, but i'm pretty sure this on the table already. I don't think it's going to save IBM long term, but it's going to happen for sure. Unfortunately IBM is going to end up as GE, not cutting their way to prosperity, but cutting their way out of business. Sad, that the main strategy and focus of IBM was in last decades on cutting rather then investing into the future. As some say, you can't cut yourself into prosperity. Don't get me wrong, i still bleed blue, even after getting rusty kn--e in the back in 2024 after 18 years. IBM is in a such downfall from which i don't think it's going to recover."
It looks like the trolling in the comments has abated somewhat (it's not clear if the principal troll got banned, but that seems very likely).
This means the threads have been mostly back on course today. "When you treat employees right," one person responded (belatedly) to the troll, "they do not hate you. IBM is despised by hundreds of thousands of workers in the US alone. Trust me, that was earned."
"Basic decency matters. There is a reason why corporations have not treated employees like this forever; it comes at steep cost. When you decide it does not, then what comes around goes around. This kind of hate is karma."
IBM workers are fed up with the bad management that does "RAs" (layoffs) or, inevitably, will cause everybody to lose the job (the company's collapse). They're mocking IBM's lousy chatbots "and then, there is Arvind of IBM. He is is a whole lot more stupid than [chatbot] Bob and he plays the stupid part really well too."
Earlier today we saw paid-for IBM puff pieces glorifying the CEO, trying to make it sound like he's some genius. He's misusing IBM's money to do PR for himself. It's painful to watch, really bad optics.
Half an hour ago someone explained that Bob isn't even an IBM product, it's just a wrapper with an IBM logo/branding:

IBM cannot exist for much longer as a mere reseller of GAFAM and peddler of slop (which has absolutely no business model). Aside from the lawsuits (and settlements), Anthropic gains debt at a laughable pace! Anthropic has no financial basis at all. It's a bunch of scammers.
Anthropic - like IBM - pays the media for puff pieces, exaggerations, and obvious vapourware. Here's a new example of fake 'journalism' about this company. Frauds and charlatans say they can make the company grow 1,000,000-fold this year, the media just parrots the false claims. Follow the money! █
