Discussions About When the Axe Falls at IBM/Kyndryl (11,000 Layoffs Estimated)

Hours ago concerning Kyndryl layoffs:

"Kyndryl restructuring should reduce overhead functions and reduce the number of managers that lack technical knowledge," somebody said a few hours ago. "Of the various systems they try to manage. All chiefs and no Indians will cause the company to collapse."
This seems like a cultural reference to "Too Many Chiefs, Not Enough Indians" (not something racist except perhaps inadvertently).
It seems possible to estimate the scale of these layoffs (some say about 11,000 people) based on the numbers cited in the reports which foresee the "compensation" bill, extrapolating based on previous waves of layoffs and previous such bills. █
