The Corrupt Lecture the Non-Corrupt - Part XXX - Where Was "The Ethics and Compliance Team" When the Family of EPO President Campinos Was Caught Doing Cocaine?

posted by Roy Schestowitz on May 22, 2026

What EPO management tells staff:

The Ethics and Compliance Team

This is today's relatively short part and also the last part of this series. It is a call for action. It is also a summary.

Does accountability exist in Europe's second-largest institution (EPO)?

No, not for managers anyway.

Consider the President of the EPO.

His "brother-in-law" is abusing colleagues - especially women inside the Office - while doing cocaine, which is of course illegal in Germany.

The President of the EPO unconditionally protects him while dating his sister.

So as we've seen in this long series, what the Office management tells staff or lectures/preaches is meant to sound/rhyme well and give an impression of integrity. In practice, however, this is just a façade.

It remains to be seen if national delegates will tolerate this in future meetings or belatedly tell the management to take a hike.

Those who are concerned by the normalisation of corruption in European institutions ought to contact their delegates in the area of patents and raise these key points with them.
