IAM Magazine is in Effect Dead, It's Now Fused Into Microsoft's Patent Troll (Which It Has Promoted All Along)
Microsoft-connected patent trolls in Europe, now connected to the EPO's default propaganda outlet
The mask has slipped. It has fallen. What has long been regarded to be or seen as the EPO's propaganda (lies sold as "news") apparatus, with UPC promotion on the EPO's payroll and occasional lip service to real news (rare), was also a Microsoft propaganda outlet, e.g. selling patent extortion as "Azure" and "Advantage". IAM's wiki helps document some of those things; we've lost sight of IAM's antics in more recent years because they broke their RSS feed.
Over a decade ago IAM was spying for the EPO (by all means never share anything with them!) and its experiments with paywalls (very high turnover of staff; lots of writers leaving very rapidly over the years) didn't work. IAM is dying. Its homepage is a giveaway; it's a "skeleton crew".
The site was habitually running ads for notorious patent trolls (we called them out on it, they didn't like it) as it is generally a propaganda outlet for blackmail/extortion artists. It quickly became known to EPO staff as the EPO's go-to mouthpiece and one reader took note of an "IAM to Sisvel" migration. "Hey," we got told, "I saw that Joff Wild [IAM chief] has left IAM and is now working for Sisvel, a big patent troll."
If Wild left, then it means IAM is practically dead because the two are interchangeable. IAM without Wild is not IAM.
"What a surprise," we got told sarcastically.
The choice of Sisvel makes sense It was mentioned in our series earlier this month and in past years.
Now Wild can quit pretending to be a journalist; he was all along a media operative for patent trolls, foreign monopolists, and their crooked officials (serving only their own agenda) at Europe's second-largest institution.
Now, in his new job, Wild can use his 'expertise' to help guide blackmail/extortion to better harm Europe's industry. █
