Slop Causes Global Warming

It's exceptionally hot in the UK today (even by August's standards) and in some parts of the world people die from overheat (heat strokes, thermal shock or thermal stress for humans) as temperatures reach almost 50 degrees as early as May in the northern hemisphere.

It's difficult to ignore some of the elephants in the room, including the Ponzi scheme that is considered more respectable (owing to media ownership and bribes/sponsorship) than fake-coins which involve "mining", i.e. wasting lots of energy in pursuit of fake "value" (falsely perceived currencies almost nobody would accept/barter with). That Ponzi scheme is based around generation of slop out of models - slop that fails to demonstrate any actual value. Its "popularity" (or "demand" for it) is largely faked, e.g. prompts passively invoked or deep integration through bots and interfaces that mandate it.

The net effect of all this wasted computation isn't just propaganda/misinformation; it's also a lot of heat and avoidable price hikes. These result in death and poverty, respectively (or both).

We need to change the way people communicate about slop (for a starters, quit referring to it as "AI"). Slop is a threat to human civilisation because it kills the real economy (replacing it with a phantom economy of accounting fraud) and eliminates resources, leaving nothing behind it except global warming and human suffering.
