IBM Commits More Than $10 Billion to Quantum Computing, Funding Its Roadmap from Today's Leading Systems to the World's First Fault-Tolerant Quantum Computers - Wow, why not write 100 billion?

Today the shares have already tumbled badly. It wasn't made to last. Just another round of vapourware.

They even devote "forums" to the hype rituals:

Day 2 IBM Quantum Partner Forum has left me with an optimism for the future of compute and an aggression to advocate for the technology

It's like a religion. Just gather around, claim to "believe"... it might help the stock.

What has IBM become?

Remember there is no "quantum" anything to sell. This is a bailout plan. The numbers are only theoretical (for press releases), maybe outright fictional. █
