What Will Likely Happen When the Slop Bubble Pops (and When It'll be Widely Accepted That It Popped)
Many people wonder what will happen when businesses "do it like McDonalds" or "like Starbucks"... by dumping slop after years of unacceptable flop (as noted again a few minutes ago, as above). When will it happen? What will occur once it becomes obvious slop is merely hype and companies that "follow herds" (or phony sponsored narratives in corrupted media) are in trouble? Set aside for a bit when exactly it'll be recognised (by who? The same media which profited from spreading these lies?) and what will happen to "the economy".
First of all, loads of hardware will be 'freed up' as bankrupt companies will offload it all (hence, prices will plummet). Sites that preserved their integrity will never need to explain their choices (e.g. the decision to shun slop) and more sites will follow the example of UbuntuPIT by completely purging every article ever made by slop (as they're all just an embarrassment; the alternative is to go offline). People who kept their writing and coding skills will be "in demand" (for instance, replacing slop code or "prototype"-quality junk with working and comprehensible code) and folks who didn't get carried away by propaganda will get to explain to future generations that slop never stood a change because: 1) it was defective 2) it became very expensive and 3) there was not enough power and hardware to keep it going.
Given that all the "most successful" slop companies are so deep in debt the eventuality isn't a matter of it but when. █
