Unlikely Heroes

Earlier today we mentioned Bruce Schneier. He's a nice and clever person, but not the hero he is compared to (embodied as Texas Ranger). To me, a role model since my 20s was my Ph.D. supervisor Chris, who was friends with the man above (the brain behind ARM). I had worked for his division in 2001 when I was in my late teens. It was a summer job. When it comes to technology, they inspire me as they strived not for fame but measurable accomplishment publications-wise and more. They leave behind them an amazing legacy and they are still alive.
One personal hero who is not alive (anymore) is Navalny. He is now "double-dead". First he was killed, then his memory too was killed. I filter all the news every day for his name. He's not mentioned in English-speaking news anymore. Almost never. He got "memory-holed".
Putin's regime stands to gain if his enemies are no longer alive and not recalled (in conversations) either.
Say his name. Because the name helps remind folks of what Putin does to good people. █
