Estimates of Microsoft Layoffs: 3,000 Staff to be Culled Just in Gaming, How Many in Other Divisions?

Discussions about Microsoft layoffs have intensified lately because Microsoft admitted it and Microsoft's CEO is moreover admitting a sustainability problem, which is not limited to gaming.
It's not hard to guess when the layoffs will be announced (insiders spread gossip and/or rumours about it); what's unknown here are the tallies, which obviously omit close to 9,000 Americans who were offered a "buyout" ("leave not, or be paid less later"). Those were not people who can retire. They're just people Microsoft is unable to pay because despite losses being euphemised as "investment" the debt is soaring. The "fall guy" who took over from Steve Ballmer turned a company with 90% "market share" to only about 30%; the stock market lies. Now the XBox (or gaming/entertainment) division has its own "fall guy", but it is a woman. █
