The 'XBox Narrative' Distracts From Destructive Cuts Across the Whole of Microsoft
Polling today: (even Microsoft insiders poke fun)

Microsoft is preparing to lay off a likely record-breaking number of people. This is not about XBox, it's about the entire company. We've learned that the cuts are underway already, in anything but name (no "official" statement yet).
Microsoft's stock is a distraction. XBox is a distraction. The "[person] says" narratives (headlines that parrot supposed "authorities") are a distraction.
This was earlier this month:

If they raise the prices, people flee; if they lower them, the losses will increase.
But again, this isn't just an XBox problem. It's the same with Windows and many other disservices. Microsoft is struggling to compete even in the slop space (which nobody profits from), so what has it got left to show? What cow can still be milked? Wall Street investors who foolishly assume that Microsoft (and IBM too) has an "edge"? █
