EC Looking for Input on Digital Networks Act Until Next Month
The EU Commission’s latest notable and relevant (to us) initiative deals with a familiar topic but contains some buzzwords, which we've substituted as follows: "The initiative aims at improving access to secure, fast, and reliable connectivity for the transition towards [server]-based infrastructure and [slop]. To this end, it aims to help boost secure high-speed broadband, both fixed and wireless, and incentivise and encourage investments in digital infrastructure. It builds on the Commission’s White Paper: 'How to master Europe’s digital infrastructure needs' adopted on 21 February 2024."
The original with the buzzwords left intact:
Have a go at it if you live in the EU. Let them know what you think. Otherwise the lobbyists (of GAFAM, US) will drown out the signal. Some of them disguise themselves as "European" via front groups and proxies that pretend to speak for Europe but are financially controlled by American oligarchs.
"Linux Foundation Europe" is one example of that; OpenForum Europe is another. █
