There Are Still Slopfarms in Google News
Recent examples (same operator, same LLM):

Earlier this year, around February or maybe a bit later, we noticed Google News culling (technically delisting) some slop, perhaps recognising that it was infuriating publishers (plagiarists were receiving traffic at their expense) and disappointing readers, who would quit using Google News if many results were (still are) mindless LLM slop.
The problem has not been worsening since, but it is not eradicated either.
Google is now promoting the slop agenda. It faces backlash for it. Students "boo" the leaders, publishers sue Google, the media publicly blasts Google, and so on.
Google is trying to participate in if not lead this pyramid scheme. All we see is massive debt and layoffs. █
