Get Ready for Increase in PIPs and RAs at IBM, Red Hat, and Other Companies Devoured by IBM
Months ago: Extensive Evidence of Red Hat's Mass Layoffs in China (IBM Meets Geopolitics)
Earlier today somebody asked about layoffs at IBM; it was preconditioned upon a falsehood and people were kind enough to (mostly) politely explain how IBM does layoffs:

Put aside some occasional racist overtones and the answers regarding RAs, PIPs, and mass layoffs that IBM hides from the media are described with their "blueprint" (of Big Blue).
IBM layoffs are continuous, "forever layoffs" [1, 2].
Moments ago I saw that IBM's stock reached/hit $211 and therefore officially reached a record low. Others noticed the same and said: "Just broke through the May low of $212. Next stop $199."
It's not even about the stock price, the bigger issue might be securities fraud. Someone has just said that this predates Krishna and started after Palmisano:
This dates back to at least the days of Ginni and her Strategic Imperatives (CAMSS). Arvind just continued that playbook with his GenAI metric. Most IBM revenue comes from 1) mainframes 2) bodyshop "consulting" AKA staff aug work. They play games with how they allocate that revenue to things like AI. Consulting project to migrate some legacy Java code but someone on the team used Bob to write an email to the client? Count the entire revenue as AI. Mainframe upgrade and legacy transaction processing SW ELA renewal? Bundle in some watsonx that the client will never use and count all the revenue as AI.
In a few years, they'll throw in a free "quantum computer" that doesn't actually do anything with all mainframe/SW ELA renewals and count it as Quantum Revenue.
Has IBM run out of wiggling room? Is that why it plants deliberate lies (or fake news) in news sites? No concerns about its long-term credibility anymore? This is how companies die. Bear Stearns nearly made it to 100 (years), then died very suddenly. IBM is just over 100, but it can die at any moment.
IBM's "market cap" has just fallen to 199 billion dollars and it has about 70 billion dollars in debt. What can IBM sell to raise money? Software patents? It already sold some to patent trolls. █
