Tomorrow is Another Strike Day at Europe's Second-Largest Institution, the Media is Still Deliberately Ignoring It
Yesterday we saw that Fridays are now recommended “anchor days" for EPO strikes. Should European media not cover this? How big an event needs to happen for European media to pay any attention to EPO scandals? Some wardrobe malfunction of Putin? A terror attack?
An hour ago I wrote about "News Drought or News Deserts in the United Kingdom" and earlier this week I was at the High Court (a hearing that began 6 days earlier) for reasons I can explain later.
Months ago, days after the trial of 2025, a journalist from a large European paper phoned me and said that EUIPO and EPO were notorious when it comes to SLAPPs. I know that from firsthand experience - it's how I got introduced to some of the UK's best libel lawyers - some of them still helping on a pro bono basis. We must understand that without media complicity (or silence*) is a big, huge, very potent enabler of the EPO corruption, entailing a severe deterioration of Europe's economy and the perceived Rule of Law. █
