Daniel Pocock Running for Office Again, Clacton-on-Sea By-election
By-election - code name "Pocock-on-Sea"
In recent years Daniel Pocock ran for European politics and then for Irish politics. He's a tech person, not a politician, and he is relatively new, so not many voters recognise his name or see a political track record in some major (famous) political party.
Ireland has a relatively large tech sector and there are many tech workers eligible to vote there. Pocock's blog shows his views and experiences as a tech person, not as a politician. He has just announced his candidacy:

Pocock-on-Sea is live. We dropped some hints about it [1, 2] earlier today. "The Returning Officer has accepted my nomination for the Clacton-on-Sea by-election," he had told us.
This week and last week the High Court mentioned the lawsuit by a certain Daniel Pocock, filed in the US. As it turns out, the Streisand Effect theory keeps being proven. The attempts to hide issues results in more visibility (for these issues and people who speak about these issue).
"Do you have any links to the lawsuit?" a reader has asked us. It was a hearing, not a lawsuit, but one publication complained of was of Pocock, citing a case that was recently appealed.

While the lawsuit deals with tech issues it has a lot of political aspects to it. Pocock does not shy away from difficult subjects. █
