The official reason/excuse/lie told is something about slop, but no sane person would buy it (not even insiders who are impacted)
Windows (the "cash cow" or former "cash cow") is shrinking and next month there may be lots of PIP-like actions, i.e. people told to go based on some pretext like "low performance". There are also rumours about further layoffs this coming week, but already (in recent days) we see 6-8 short reports about mass layoffs in "security" (at a company that undermines security and promotes back doors instead).
Why won't any large news site negate the lie about "4,800 layoffs"? Because lots of LLM slopfarms have already repeated this false number, as predicted? █
