According to the "official" numbers - excluding contractors - 264,300 (as of 2025, now fewer) people work at IBM under Arvind Krishna, who seems to have spent IBM's budget on puff pieces glorifying himself rather than pointing the finger at him, the main culprit. A few minutes ago somebody wrote "for the record, IBM only looks after it's executives. The US employees are considered TRASH. And Indian employees are unreplaceable." [sic]
"Same here," someone said about getting canned by IBM to be left without health insurance/coverage, "I would gladly retire without severance if Healthcare coverage would be bridged to 65."
Another person then said, "it's completely despicable to be "retired" by IBM after nearly 30 years of service and not receive a full bridge to Medicare for you and your family. I am entitled to the FHA or future health account but with my family of four it will pay for at most nine months of healthcare for just three of us. This is what they gave me in place of lifetime medical coverage that I was promised when I first joined the company. Honestly, IBM needs to be sued into oblivion."
Elsewhere someone said that "all our leaders should be held accountable. All of them down to your manager. We all know it and we all feel it. IBM is not in a good place and it’s long past time for a reckoning" (it is dying).
Last night somebody asked: "Tell me one thing that is not overpriced these days at IBM?"
The answer: "Employee salaries."
Except the CEO and his cronies. The CEO has made himself a billionaire. This is very similar to what's happening at the EPO, "Europe's Second-Largest Institution" with its "PIPs". █
