Explaining That Software Patents Are Neither Legal Nor Desirable
IBM has begun selling more and more software patents. It is not a new thing, hardly a new problem, but this problem can worsen and prove us right about IBM's dangerous management and menace to us when it comes to its patent policy and patent lobbying. Now IBM is selling patents that might be weaponised by a reasonably small company and "this would be a good chance to review at least some of the evils of software patents," a reader has opined despite us writing lots of original articles about the topic over the years. The importance or repeatedly stressing that is that "otherwise it makes it sound like software patents are an asset rather than fraud..."
The reader said, "recall that the litigation coverage is bringing in new readers who need to get up to speed on software patents etc."
