IBM's August 2026 Promotions (Annual Ritual) Can Turn Into a "Bloodbath" (RAs, Layoffs)
Minutes ago in thelayoff.com: "Instead of promotions aren’t 1:1s kicking off next week for layoffs?"

IBM Common Stock is set to open in the red (minus) on Monday and, being the first week of August, there's expectation of mass layoffs via PIPs or similar (or "silent RAs"). After the stock craters the CEO of IBM borrowed a bunch of "pumpers" to pimp his stock based on lies (not only Jim Cramer) and amid mass layoffs in the West there's no indication of any replacement, just perpetual shrinkage and shutdown of facilities.
The path downwards leaves plenty of rewards for the executive tier, which boasts about "savings" (yes, culling your best and highest-paid workers does "save money"). █
