The metre-long ballot paper that proves Clacton vote is no ordinary by-election

Winning a Debian election is not hard. This year there was no actual election, it was merely an appointment. Just put your name down and... voila! Congrats! You're the new Debian Project Leader (DPL) provided not enough people oppose you for some exceptional reason.

To be put on a political ballot in the UK it takes a lot more work. Daniel Pocock has relocated, at least temporarily, to a hotel in the UK's eastern shore (he's triple-national) and his name is in the news every day, even some mainstream media in Australia, the UK, and few others. Sometimes he's on TV, e.g. Sky News or ITV (see above).

The Debian "cult" (as he calls them collectively) is simply jealous of him. He has moved on. He's doing better things now. █
