Some Malware is Legal Because It's Made and Distributed by Politically-Connected GAFAM

Malware is not illegal per se; if you have "connections", then you get to distribute malware unimpeded and many governments buy or license unlawful malware to spy on their citizens, under the guise or pretext that those citizens do something illegal.
So selling malware can be profitable. It's also "legal" when you're politically connected or politicians are your clients.
Recently, RMS was cited in a new article about computer security (now that people who have zero credentials in security pretend to be security gurus, even when they spouses openly dispute that characterisation!).
In reality, the security non-experts 'championed' (and salaried) by GAFAM are anti-security people who advocate back doors, maybe out of genuine ignorance, whilst at the same time viciously slandering those who actually know what they are talking about.
In a sense, those GAFAM-sponsored fakes are promoters of malware. The question is, whose? Follow the money. █
