What Will it Take for Mainstream Media to Report Silent or Secret Layoffs at IBM?
"Silent" or "secret" sometimes because the media won't cover them.
Recent hours:
This year IBM forced mass layoffs several times at Red Hat. The press didn't report this. At the same time they picked interns (low paid), then said goodbye.
Similarly, IBM forced mass layoffs at Confluent (the media didn't find almost 1,000 layoffs important enough to report) and did the same in HashiCorp, another company it had bought to gut (not long afterwards). Where was the media? Where's the scrutiny?
After bluewashing, IBM's RAs extend to all the above companies. Somehow the "media" (paid by the likes of IBM) somehow overlooks or misses all this. █
