Software Freedom Conservancy (SFC) Does Not Support Women, It Imitates Authentic Organisations, Embraces Misogynists, Then Projects
The real organisations that promote Free software are the FSF and SFLC, which are still connected (they're the originals, too, not the splinter groups). The copycats, as one might expect, try to slag off both originals while impersonating them (even the names, only one letters apart... not a coincidence, it is deliberate).
They are joined by the hip, not just by their objectives and methods:
Both of them openly supported the person who tried to deplatform us many times (more times than we can recall). The above calls herself "cyborg lawyer" (in Mastodon), but she is a greedy lawyer who takes home almost $300,000 per year while she platforms men whose spouse call "rapist" or men who try to put women in prison. She also keeps boosting "Free Software Foundation Europe". They fake the real FSF, just like SFC fakes the real SFLC (Moglen), while the two of them jointly defame Moglen. Yes, they do this together. It's grotesque.
They are egging on the man who tries to deplatform us and to put people in prison (the aim was to remove pages about the SFC as well). He feels "sentimental" about it in an SFC bash where safety policies are a mirage, organised by an outfit that is misleadingly named, just like "FSFE" (there's a trademark lawsuit over it).
"Microsofters and other fiends project," a friend told me, "a lot... it's almost more of a confession on their part than anything else..."
Notice that a top sponsor of the above-mentioned SFC event is GAFAM, a former paymaster of the man who jointly worked to cancel the founder of the whole movement.
These are rich opportunists more than anything else. They try to monetise for personal gain at the expense of unpaid volunteers. Put more bluntly, those are thieves and charlatans with a skin-deep costume. They attract and enable the likes of them. █
